Privacy policy
What we collect on this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
1. Who is responsible
The controller for data processing on www.schnow.ch is sCHNOw Sàrl, Rue de Locarno 7, 1700 Fribourg, Switzerland. For any data protection question, email info@schnow.ch.
We process personal data in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Enquiry and contact forms
When you send us a message through a form on this website, we receive the details you enter: your name, company, email address, phone number if you give one, the topic you select and your message. We store them in our customer relationship management system (Odoo CRM) to answer you and follow up on your enquiry. We do not add you to a newsletter unless you ask us to.
3. Visiting the website
When you visit the website, the servers automatically record technical data such as your IP address, browser type, date and time and the pages requested. We use this data to deliver the website, keep it secure and fix errors. The website platform may also keep basic visit statistics, such as pages viewed, which help us improve the site.
We only use technically necessary cookies, for example to remember your language and to keep the site secure. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
4. Service providers
We work with the following providers, who process data on our behalf and only as far as needed:
- Odoo S.A. (Belgium): hosting of the website and our CRM
- Microsoft (Microsoft 365): email
5. Transfers abroad
Some providers process data outside Switzerland, in the EU/EEA or in the USA. Where the destination country does not offer adequate data protection, we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework.
6. How long we keep data
We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to handle your request and any business relationship that follows. Business records are kept as long as Swiss law requires, generally ten years for accounting documents.
7. Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you and have it corrected, deleted or handed over in a common format. You can also object to its processing. Just email info@schnow.ch. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EU, your local supervisory authority.
8. Changes
We may update this policy when our website or the law changes. The current version is always published on this page.
